Hi! I’m Katie, and I’m the owner of Katie & Co Pet Services! Yes, before you ask, I am one of those crazy dog ladies… despite being allergic to most furry mammals and the outdoors, I decided the best career for me was being a dog walker! I set up Katie & Co in Summer 2018 and since then I’ve been dedicated to growing my business and educating myself on all things dog related. I’m fascinated by canine body language and how our dogs communicate with us, which is why I’m always on the lookout for educational courses to improve my skills. I’m also a big advocate of force-free dog handling why is why I only use positive reinforcement when handling dogs. This means reward-based methods as opposed to punishment (i.e. lots of treats!). I’m fully insured, DBS checked, and canine first aid qualified. Please see below a list of courses I have attended and any certificates or qualifications I have earned. Although there are no formal qualifications needed to be a dog walker, I do feel it is important to keep up to date with my understanding of training & behaviour to help me be the best dog walker I can be for your dog!
